John "JF" Bergman Rifle

A fine contemporary rifle built and signed by JF Bergman, or John Bergman. It is believed that Mr. Bergman built this rifle in Tennessee. Rifle is signed and dated 1987. Fine relief carving in the style of Jacob Sell decorates this rifle. Beautifully engraved federal eagle cheek piece. An elongated saddle plate is on the bell of the lower forestock. The rifle is stocked in curly maple and has a barrel made by Robert Hoyt (1 in 57 twist, 50 caliber). With little to no wear on the frizzen, this gun is in almost "like new" condition (Never Fired). The rifle is 58 ½ inches overall with a barrel length of 42 inches. Weight is 9lbs 2 oz.
